Es necesario preguntarse ?porqué hacemos lo que hacemos? ?cuál es la motivación última? Es muy relevante ser detallistas e indagar para profundizar en qué es realmente lo que importa para la organización. Mencionar categorías amplias no resulta muy útil. Por ejemplo, contribuir a la conservación del medio ambiente vs contribuir a las estrategias de mitigación en las zonas selváticas de América Latina...

Build relationships through networking events, industry conferences, and online platforms. Clearly articulate your goals and value proposition to potential partners. Focus on creating mutually beneficial agreements with defined roles, responsibilities, and shared objectives. Maintain open communication and regular updates to ensure alignment and progress. Leverage each partner's strengths and resources to maximize collective impact, and continuously evaluate and adapt the partnership to meet evolving needs and goals.

When I look for organizations to partner with, I always check their website first and foremost. I want to know if their mission statement is something that they are living up to, or striving to do. It tells me a lot about their organization when I review their website. Who are they, who are their board members, what does this organization do outside of their business operations but in the sense of giving back to their community, etc. Determining if their goals are similar to yours are great. However, sometimes you'll find a group that does not necessarily have your goals, you may be in the same arena of purpose. When you find that you mesh well with others because you have a similar end goal, you'll move mountains.

I like to review any government websites that showcase potential partners. As I work for a nonprofit, I always check an organizations 990 tax form. This will alert you to what another organization believes is important to fund if they have made any charitable donations. Knowing what they want to fund or are interested in funding allows you to see where you may have alignment in causes.

Stewardship is one of the most rewarding opportunities that any professional may have. When each party arrives to the figurative (or real) table, having a mutual trust and understanding of one another allows opportunities to become actionable. When I write grants, transparency is the most important part of the document on the issue at hand. The same is true when building a relationship with another organization. Being clear about your goals and intentions while maintaining professional courtesy may lead to lifetime friendships beyond the office. Engaging with other organizations will open up your network and theirs to one another's contacts. Partnering in that sense allows for group camaraderie to commence.

This is important internally as much as it is externally. CSR professionals can have more impact if they can figure out how to create win-win programs with marketing, for example.

When working with another group, be sure that you have been clear on your goals and who is going to do what to accomplish them. Remember the 7P Rule: Prior proper planning prevents pretty poor performance. Have regular, productive, meetings to ensure that all parties are updated and moving in the right direction for the end goal.

Execution is scary, whether it's yours or a plan. All jokes aside, having a plan fully launch after working together with your partnering organizations can be nerve racking. But, with regular communication and coordination, everyone will feel better navigating possible challenges as you move forward. It is important to remember this though, the reason you partnered with someone is because collectively your are stronger and will make a better difference together.

Establishing impactful alliances for social good often requires reflection, before and after the partnership. A leader should pinpoint entities with congruent visions and involve interested parties in the decision-making process. Cultivating trust via networking and transparent dialogue is essential, as is specifying goals and capitalizing on each collaborator's forte. Written contracts should clarify responsibilities and anticipations, while constant dialogue and assessment of impacts guarantee continued harmony and enhancement—not to mention avenues to adapt and evolve these sustainability initiatives in the future. Acknowledging triumphs and nurturing enduring connections reinforce these meaningful partnerships in a thoughtful manner.

Após a implementa??o do projeto, o monitoramento se faz relevante para mensurar os resultados atingidos X esperados. Assim, é possível avaliar a efetividade da parceria, sendo possível propor ajustes ou identificar a necessidade de novos parceiros.

Contrary to what many people believe, joining organizations like yours will make you more visible. 4. Dream big! Don't settle, it is a daily job. Create a network of people who feel the same passion.
