Adjust layer height, infill density, and print speed in your slicing software. Lowering the infill density and increasing the layer height can reduce print time without compromising structural integrity for non-critical parts.

The main factors that affects the most time is you orientation and your infill denisty. Wrong orentation will cause to have unnecessary supports that eat time and material. Infill denisty depends on the application you will use your 3d printed part in. If it's just to show concept you don't need to have much infill but take care that infill is very important to have a clean top surface specially in small nozzles

The extruder hole’s diameter can make a huge difference. If certain elements can be post processed. Then I suggest using larger hole-extruder. And if it needs to be given sculpted kind of a look. Then use a smaller nozzle. Tweaking the layer height helps

Something that I’ve discovered is that if I don’t want to sacrifice the quality of an object but still need to get the print done quickly is adjust the number of walls in your object. When printing, the printer will create several solid layers of plastic on the for the top, bottom, and sides of your object called “walls”. Instead of decreasing the quality of the object you can lower the wall count and have similar effects as adjusting the quality. Two walls on all sides has worked pretty well for me in the past.

One highly effective method for reducing Z banding is calibrating the bed heater PID. Although many older 3D printers, like the Ender 3 (v1), use a bang-bang controller, upgrading to PID control can significantly improve print quality, leading to less time spent on post-processing.

The first thing I do with all my printers when I first get them is flash their original software for the “Klipper” and “Moonraker” softwares. These softwares can be extremely difficult for a beginner to set up and operate but are extremely useful to anyone looking to start a business or just have your 3D printers running 24/7 like I do. These softwares allow for in-depth printer optimization and customization which tends to save me a lot of time especially in between prints. Some companies have actually started just running Klipper as a default which I love for beginners because it takes all the hassle out of flashing a printer with the same end result of printer optimization.

When working with tight deadlines it is important to not only optimize the speed of 3D printing itself but to also account for the high likelihood of print failure. For critical rapid prototypes, it is a good idea to have multiple machines running the part with different support structures and orientations so if one fails you have others to fall back on. This can also be used to quickly optimize the print settings for low-volume production orders.
