La comunicación es importante en el trabajo remoto desde una perspectiva organizacional y humana; he aprendido que los soft skills en el trato con las personas pueden favorecer el flujo de la comunicación, la empatía y ambiente de trabajo. La comunicación interna, herramientas y protocolos son importantes; considero que en mi caso, ha favorecido usar canales exclusivos de la empresa como Slack y no usando canales personales como WhatsApp (aunque en algunas empresas es un canal). En el equipo que pertenezco, la cámara es requisito en las reuniones, si bien se puede apagar por bloques o situaciones como latencia del Wifi, consideramos que ver la interacción humana no verbal, fortalece la comunicación, confianza e integración del equipo.

As someone who has worked remotely, in-house, freelance and for a company, structure is everything. When I'm on a design job, we usually do a retro at the end of a sprint and plan for the new sprint. Then it's clear what we're working on in the new week. Daily standups are pretty classic to this time of work, which help with being transparent and accountable on projects and hence, also help with time management. Each day, I write down the tasks that I'm going to work on, my breaks for taking a walk, eating, meditating, ect. I set timers for the focus-mode work blocks and breaks to stay fresh and alert.
