Yes, agreed. However this paragraph, I think, misses a critical point often forgotten, I hope, but most likely overlooked, I fear. That is, the 5 components of any message. 1) the actual message; prose, verbiage, etc. 2) the sender’s interpretation or intent of the message, 3) the sender’s actual message (which may differ substantially for the desired idea, 4) the recipient’s initial impression, and finally 5) the recipient’s interpretation of the message. Voice inflections, grimaces, attitude, & facial expressions by either party during the act of communicating can & will drastically change the “content”!
