You're a valuable piece in this puzzle, and it's important that your boss know your skills and strengths. This is the only way they will be able to assign you tasks that you can accomplish by yourself. This way the engine will keep running. Talk to your boss everytime you can. The best way to know each other is by starting a conversation. Will this in mind and putting it into practice, you probably will get assigned tasks with feasible deadlines, since your boss know what you can, and can't do.
