Here's how you can enhance your visibility within your organization.

Real Talk: If you want to be SEEN in your organization... you've gotta mingle! The great thing about this is, it doesn't just have to be in person networking. Ok, so let's break this down. We all know how important networking is, I'm not even going to touch on that... but how can you network other than sending cringy messages, going to events, or being more social at work? Position yourself as an SME, an industry leader. Create a newsletter, build out your personal brand. Look larger than life. People will flock to you that way. It is a fabulous reverse way to build your network. Put out info and industry talk that is focus on what would resonate with the audience you would like to connect with.

Although we know we are stronger together, the reality is that we are terribly disconnected as a global community; to contribute to the currency that considers our interdependence and interconnectedness, we need to create environments that facilitate these crucial connections. Companies can be at the forefront of creating a new world order, and there is a tremendous capacity of enthusiastic and intelligent human resource that businesses can tap into to be drivers of this change; but it won’t just happen. The key is creating a conducive environment and the conditions that facilitate transformation and evolution within your organisation.

identificar a las personas que tienen muchos a?os en la organización y que son influyentes en la misma es punto clave. la gente reacia al cambio pero con un gran peso en las organizaciones es importante hacer rapport con ellas, escucharles sus razones de no al cambio y documentarte como encausarlas a lo que se viene y que esten listos, que sea lo mas smoth posible y certero para ellos cumplir lo que prometes, entrega y haz lo que dijiste que harías en proyectos o necesidades que deben tener actualizaciones vertiginosas, debemos contagiar y asegurarnos que el resto de los integrantes de equipo entendieron también la urgencia e importancia del proyecto.

Building connections are key. We can meet the staff where they’re at and check in on a regular basis shows authenticity. Also, volunteer in committees, councils or podcasts. And my favorite, offer mentorship.

If you're not confident speaking up, you may want to reflect on the underlying beliefs that are causing you anxiety and preventing you from taking action. Then, transform those thoughts into more neutral or even positive ones: "I'm not good enough; I don't know what I'm talking about." --> "My opinion is valuable, and I don't need to be an expert to contribute." "I might say something stupid." --> "Even if I make a less-than-perfect comment, nobody will care or remember after the meeting!"

Si busca retroalimentación pero búscala con gente que te a?ada valor, gente que si estuvo jugando un papel importante de driving dentro del proyecto, no busques retro de gente que solo ve desde arriba las cosas, gente que no se involucra, que no se inmersa, que no se empapa en el proyecto generalmente solo podrás obtener de ellos hacer red, hacer conexión, pero no más, dependiendo lo que buscas es la gente a la que debes acercarte.

Being a visible employee requires purpose and intention, and we need to take action. Do not mix up humility to working silently. We must also must sure that we deliver quality work, so when people can count on you, you’ll earn the reputation as a reliable, trustworthy, and valued, needed member of the team — all which leads to more visibility. Always be ready to demonstrate that we have an extra skillset that can be invaluable to our employers. I would also recommend volunteer for learning opportunities that will expand our skills. Workplace visibility can open the door to new opportunities that might otherwise stay closed or even hidden from you.
