A real-life example: before a large bank set up an in-house Cloud portal (and catalog), the process (service request) for obtaining a virtual server-type resource required the signature of at least 5 different people (the N+1 or even +2, the architect, the management controller, etc.). Having convinced ourselves that the cloud was flexible (upwards and downwards), automated (no people costs and quotas connected to the budget), we limited ourselves to 1 single signature for a requestor to obtain VMs (2 in the case of deletion, as it was more disruptive than creation... especially on production environments:)
