I've always said bring data to the party. When you are presenting your ideas to leadership, share both your qualitative and quantitative data. However, the trick isn't just a one-time shot, sharing data is something you should be doing with some cadence. It should be part of every 1:1 with your product leaders and stakeholders. After every customer visit, are you sharing the key takeaways? Are you sharing how your insights will impact the backlog/roadmap? When you are done sharing, ask for their feedback. What are questions they want to answer? Let them know you can be their proxy. This builds trust and transparency which is key to building strong relationships with product stakeholders.

Deeply understanding every facet of your product is crucial. Before a presentation, I dive into data, user feedback, and competitive analysis, ensuring I can handle any question thrown my way. Using tools like Tableau for data visualization or Feedly for industry news keeps me informed and prepared.

Dive deep before you leap high. Get your hands dirty with every feature, market research, user feedback. The SWOT analysis isn't just a fancy term. It's your compass in a sea of queries. This deep dive shows more than your prep-work. It shows your unwavering commitment to your product's success. Wing it, and you might fly. Know it, and you soar.

Practise is crucial. One should do multiple dry-runs, either in front of the mirror or in front of our friends and families. This will help become familiar with the content flow and structure. With each dry-run and feedback we should also focus on the ideal pace and tone of the delivery. Thus, we would have given the presentation multiple times even before going into the actual presesntation room!

Rehearsing is non-negotiable. I practice my presentation multiple times, not just in my head but also out loud, using tools like Microsoft PowerPoint's Presenter Coach, which provides feedback on pacing, pitch, and filler words. It’s like having a personal speech coach!

Spotlight's on you. Fluffs and flusters? Or polished and poised? Rehearsing makes the difference. Mirror reflections, friendly audiences, critique-yourself video recordings - they're all pieces of the confidence puzzle. It's not just about your words, it's about the sway of your body, the tone of your voice, the pace of your speech. Be familiar, be natural, be the antidote to your anxiety.
