When we start to learn something, of course we need to start since the basic to the advanced. But many times, we're more worried to learn the advanced tools and acquire knowledge, but sometimes we don't want to use the basic fundamentals when they're our soul. Learning the basic isn't a bored way to learn if not a smart way to accustom and making owner of our proficiency.

Before going to any new skill set, grab your hand on basic of the skill or work you do. If one works on AutoCAD, he or she must be aware of basic of AutoCAD and advance too.

Advanced training can take many forms; - Tutor-led on a face to face official course, which is likely to have a cost element. - Self-led following on online resource. These can cost, or they can be free. -The LinkedIn Learning courses are good, but you need to subscribe. Some companies will pay for this as it is a lot less than an official course. -YouTube has a wealth of videos on specific topics, and is free, if you can get the time to use it. - LinkedIn groups can have some good tips and tricks as well.

This can also extend to more than CAD. At the end of the day, CAD is a tool. You can learn a different CAD platform quite easily, as the concepts of use will be similar. However, a better understanding of the engineering principles behind what you are doing will elevate you from a CAD Operator to a CAD Designer or Engineer. Take FEA simulation, for example. Anybody can put a model together, add constraints, then simulate loading, turbulence, or temperature. However, do you understand WHY it is done a specific way? Can you determine if the output is realistic? To truly advance in CAD, advance your engineering and design knowledge and skills. Do you want to be a tracer, just copying markups, or do you want to be able to design?
