The corporate culture is often too profit-focused to provide the time for teams to try ideas and test concepts. Companies that learned to provide this space for innovation are often the ones that grow to a high level of success. More importantly, the staff that work in this type of innovative environment are often more loyal, enjoy greater job satisfaction, and are committed to the company for a long term.

Staying on top of new emerging technologies is a must to drive innovation. But as good as technologies become, creativity is a human trait that no software or AI or robot can exceed. As a technology leader, I always encourage my teams to test and embrace new software or hardware technologies to improve our processes. At the same time, I keep reminding them of the fundamentals of science, humanity, and social responsibility that technologies do not necessarily consider. One example to illustrate this point is the use of AI to write blog articles or email correspondence. Using Gen AI can help to get the article started but the writer must use empathy to ensure the reader understands the message.
