Prioritizing tasks and deadlines in an industry as face-paced as CRE requires a lot of foundational work. I personally develop a project management system that allows me to view things into the buckets I have placed them in (Long-Term tasks, Quick To-Do's, etc.) with due dates, milestone dates, as well as tasks check lists...this allows for accountability and this has allowed me to visually see my progress and celebrate wins when I am completing a task before the deadline.

Get Focused & Motivated: FOCUS Let's say you have a project with tasks due by the next appointment. Block several 25-45 minute times for the tasks, including a 25-minute "Prepare for..." just before the appointment. This helps lead a more focused meeting. Using a watch or alarm can remind you to stop and take a break before the next Time Block. If you feel like that wasn't enough time, during your "Planning Time Block" look at tomorrow or next week to add more time for the project. Try not to veer from today's schedule. MOTIVATION If dreading a task, using an hourglass (about 15 minutes) can help. Commit until the sands run out. Hopefully, you'll get into a flow not noticing all you've accomplished. At the least, you've gotten started.

Delegation starts with empowerment. Teach, show, do, and allow your team to grow their skillset. Once they're comfortable with certain tasks, lean on them for those items while you focus on other things they can't yet do. Bring them along, it's happening with them and for them, not to them. The key here is to not "shovel" or "offload" or use the additional bandwidth for useless tasks. If people feel their being buried while you sit around and scroll for deals on Amazon, you'll not have that support for long.
