Una vez vivimos alguna experiencia, sea positiva o no, es importante aceptar que lo hicimos lo mejor que pudimos en ese momento con lo que teníamos. Jamás nos sintamos culpables, la culpa es uno de los sentimientos mas tóxicos que existen que pueden somatizar enfermedades. Simplemente aceptemos que dimos lo mejor con lo que teníamos anímicamente y mentalmente en ese momento. Reflexiona sobre tu entrevista, y acepta la realidad de que lo hiciste bien.

Interviewing for a job, presenting a business idea, or trying to get a partner to work on your project all have the same feelings afterward. Because there was a heart-expected result that we wished we had. Reflect on why I attended this interview or presented this idea to someone first; what was the worst outcome? Can I accept any result? Those are the things I will think about before following up with the interviewer.

When composing your follow-up message, be mindful of your tone and the emotional undertones of your words. Use Emotional Intelligence to express gratitude for the opportunity and to reiterate your interest in the position. Thinking about what will benefit the interviewer, what my contribution will help that organization, and what my proposal will help that company move forward carefully. In the follow-up email, I normally always be positive no matter if they say yes or no.

3 Timing Matters

The timing of your follow-up is as important as the content. Emotional Intelligence can guide you to choose a moment that is considerate of the interviewer's time and workload. Typically, sending a follow-up email within 24-48 hours strikes a balance between eagerness and respect for the hiring process. Waiting too long may imply disinterest, while too soon can seem pushy. Una vez transcurrido 48 horas, es momento ideal para hacer un seguimiento, preferible hacerlo una vez. Así demuestras tu interés, al mismo tiempo te puede calmar la ansiedad si la experimentas en ese momento. Respira y confía que se materialice la respuesta que buscas.

If I get rejected, I will ask WHY and listen to what they say. The reason they did not ask me to join the team or buy in my proposed idea typically for the following reasons: My character does not fit their team. My skill set is not what they are looking for or I did not have the level of knowledge of what they are looking for. My idea or business does not currently match their organization's mission. I will keep their contact if this is a valuable resource or place could benefit my vision for future.
