Implementation Details: Know the specifics of how you implemented your project, including the programming languages, libraries, and frameworks you used. Data and Evaluation: Be able to explain the data you used, how you preprocessed it, and how you evaluated your model's performance. Challenges and Solutions: Reflect on the challenges you faced during the project and how you overcame them. This demonstrates problem-solving skills and critical thinking.

The most important thing here is to know your project: the research work, the technologies used and why you chose them. Also, the outcome of your research and the intended impact. In all, being able to confidently communicate all these to whatsoever detail the interviewer requires matters.

Key must always be to emphasize upon the Value Proposition of AI i.e. what value did AI Integration bring to the customers and/or the organization. This impact can be quantified in terms of Northstar Metrics, Business Specific Metrics like % Conversion, TAT and Retention and Revenue. A clear quantifiable impact is necessary for all AI Integrations done with a strong “Why” and “How”.

From my experience as an AI investor, good AI projects measure impact across three levels: 1. Technical performance metrics (eg accuracy, F1, ROC for classification problems) 2. Operational metrics (eg stockouts for a demand forecasting project) 3. Financial metrics (revenue growth/ cost savings, ROI, IRR, payback period)

From many years leading AI departments at major companies, I have three basic criteria for approving projects: 1. Do all relevant people agree that there is substantial business value. Maybe via a cost-benefit analysis (CBA) but even better if it's so obvious that no CBA is needed. 2. Are both the business and technical teams bought in enough to dedicate resources ongoingly 3. Do I have line of sight to technical integration of the solution towards business users, and meaningful change after that integration. Of course, the data also has to be there for doing the project but since I lead scientists and engineer, they have usually thought of that already. :-)

It's even an added bonus if you're able to point to research or a project you have done (no matter what scale) that was created in a manner which supports the vision you're going after, even if it's not the most complex solution.
