Many times this can be a learning opportunity which supports a small business that can be added as a project to your resume. If your projects are more software oriented, then a robust GitHub profile or personal website to display them can be a practical way to do so.

Any old electronic device can be an opportunity to deepen your knowledge and insight of information technologies. Don't treat old devices as obsolete. Our technology today is based on these devices. So complete and restore these devices. Think about the development of the facilities they provide you. Try to look at the subject from the perspective of those who have worked with these devices years ago. This will increase your knowledge and skills in the field of computers and at the same time expand your creativity.

Working in local level is an opportunity not disadvantage. Face the situation with eagerness and creativity. Try new ways for using the device in every day life.thr results could be unimaginable.

As I mentioned in the previous step, ask questions. No one in the computer industry is an expert 100% but usually have solutions that have worked well for them in the past. Even an intern/new hire can bring something to the table from a different perspective and it is always worth mentioning in the form of a question. I recommend asking “Why?” things are done a certain way so you can gain knowledge from your Mentor(s) and get a better understanding of how to implement and perhaps improve their policies and procedures. Asking questions helps you understand the why and can increase your knowledge set in a variety of different situations, as nothing is a “cookie cutter” solution for your clients. Remember, it is their device. Not yours.

Actively engage with colleagues, supervisors, and other interns. Show genuine interest in their work and experiences. Offer help and collaborate whenever possible. Find a mentor who can offer guidance and insights. Their advice can be invaluable for navigating your internship and career path. Participate in company events and social gatherings. This is a great way to connect with people in different departments and learn more about the company culture Connect with people on professional networking sites like LinkedIn. Stay in touch with people you meet even after your internship ends. Nurture these relationships as they may lead to future opportunities

It is a good idea to network and keep the lines of communication with people that you have worked with in the past and may potentially work with in the future. Most communities have groups who meet up weekly or monthly after hours to discuss what they have dealt with recently and potential solutions that you may not have considered. Add that to your knowledge toolkit and implement it. Learning and asking outside of your internship or job helps you see things from other like minded individuals who may have a better or more refined practice based on their experiences. Also, don’t be afraid to use Social Media like LinkedIn to continue growing your network and asking questions. Never be afraid to ask questions and learn from mistakes.

If you are interning, look up how you can take Certifications like CompTIA A+/N+ or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) that are recognized industry standards that can boost your credibility. Make sure wherever you take, that the course(s) are accredited, transferable, and recognized for the field of work you eventually want to enter (ex. Provincial or Federal Governments, Financial Institutions, Health Care, etc). It is important and not all Certificates are created equal depending on the field of work you eventually find yourself in.
