Micromanaging the member of the research group shouldn't be in the todo list of a resilient research manager. Members of the research group typically don't require pinpoint directions about what to do. Group discussion and presentations may be arranged to promote peer to peer connection. Arranging one minute talk before wrapping up the every work-day could be helpful to draw a line between work and life.
