I concur strongly. A great question to ask regularly is: What are all the potential issues and risks involved with your role, responsibilities and projects? Keeping potential issues and risks in mind gives you plenty of opportunities to demonstrate that you are a champion for the interests of both your internal and external stakeholders. Mitigating and eliminating risks while increasing productivity and/or profits is not only a stellar way to stand out but a fundamental goal of persons in leadership.

Very important early on is to understand the issue. Through my experience , there has been times when people have failed to understand the issue and simply escalate it to the next tier only because the customer says so. We have to read the issue first and understand if it implies to our product and then decide to go further. If there are not much details to the issue, we have to learn to ask more details which people fail to do so.

Here's one important question I think one should ask is; Why did it happend? By asking this question, you'll be in a better position to find out and understand the issue faced.

I strongly agree. One thing I have found useful, is the need to understand the issue that you're having, because without understanding, you will not be able to solve or reach a conclusion that is best suited for the purpose. Collaboration helps you grow your network. Communication is the key aspect once you get along and learn how everyone work, that is a bonus.

This is critical and vital. You need to have an understanding in order to fixed the issue on the first go and not waste the customer time and your own time re- doing work.

In my experience, it is better to come with a solution or two to solve a problem. People are far more receptive to solutions than to problems.

When it comes to decisions making, you have to understand and know how to handle each problem as it helps with putting company resources in best use.

In order to present multiple solution options successfully it’s important to do your research! Present each solution outlining and defining the benefits and risks both short and long term. Bring the numbers, statistics and KPIs! Highlighting the potential financial impact and KPIs of each solution will support your stakeholders in choosing one of your solutions with confidence. Become an expert of choice!

Offering solution is easy. But offering the right solution is what matters at the end of the day. With the right resources available, the right people and right data , we should be able be able to offer the best solution .

After identifying the cause of the ussue, the Next question to ask is How do I fix this? This will help you come up with possible solutions, then choose whats you thinks best to solve the problem.

I would say this is probably the best approach we have taken in our organization. Being product based with multiple products and thousands of customers actively raising issues, we want a faster and accurate response. Collaborative approach has shown good communication, swarming(teamwork) , sharing of technical knowledge, improving your skillset and learning.

Communication being the key in this scenario. Collaborative process in my opinion provides improved results. No confusion , process is aligned and set. Keeping everyone in the loop. Collaboration, challenges the ability to work in a team, as it's better said working in a group gets better results. Collaboration also grows a network as you get to interact with different people on different levels, you acquire stakeholders, partners and mention a few.

Implementation begins with planning, coordinating and managing. Having to implement a plan requires commitment from both ends ( both the supervisor and employees) monitoring the project, giving updates, most importantly being able to own up to anything but always striving for the best.

Technology, skills and everything around us is always changing, so I strongly agree that as individual keep abreast with new trends and knowledge is the best way to go. As by doing so signals you that you are willing to learn new things which is the best attitude to have.

It is always helpful to keep up with learning especially if it is a trade or a job that has updates of policies. It will keep you in the loop of what is happening, if there is any changes etc. The more you learn it can give you a new insight or a new way that you didn't know about. Overall it helps with understanding and clears any confusions.

Reflect is quite helpful as it gives you a chance to look over what you have done wrong and made a mistake. Once you have pin pointed the issue you can brainstorm how you can improve wether that is asking a fellow colleague for help to show, role play situations to practice and also maybe just reading up on materials.
