One of the tools I use in interviewing is to propose a hypothetical situation where I set up the problem and define the goal, then ask the interviewee how they would solve the problem. As they answer, I add problems into the mix (timing, resources, etc.) to see how they react. There are no wrong answers. I am looking to see how they think on their feet and how they pivot when presented with problems and how confident they are abut their decisions.
