It's important to see the bigger picture in strategic thinking. Think beyond your specific role and your direct responsibilities. See how you fit in the larger scheme of things and find ways to influence and add value in these circles.

The key to this point is to rely on trust both when sharing valuable information and on the criteria that each person in the organization can contribute. In this way, the barriers between teams and responsibilities can be more flexible and allow for a more collaborative culture where people can have and contribute a broader perspective of the business, thus contributing to the overall objectives of the organization in a more direct and clear way.

Flexibility leads to curiosity and innovation. Maintaining an open mind towards change and uncertainty definitely constitutes the basis for curiosity and innovation. A curious person is able to look a little beyond the obvious, ask questions, investigate new methods and ways of doing things. It is very important that the organization provides free spaces to express this curiosity and exchange as a team, at the same time that it must be willing to try new things for innovation to happen. And thus there will be a feedback wheel between the collaborator and the organization.

It is important to previously analyze the concepts of error and success, establish clear limits regarding work processes and dynamics, to lay foundations that provide the collaborator with the necessary security to dare to take risks. Likewise, it will be extremely useful to also analyze afterwards which strategies were effective and which were not so effective to promote learning and incorporate what has been successful.
