The objective is not to dominate the situation but to find a solution that meets the essential needs of each stakeholder. This method promotes collaboration and often leads to more innovative and sustainable outcomes.

After assessing the needs, set clear, SMART objectives: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. This keeps you focused, allows you to measure progress, and helps communicate your perspective, making it easier to work towards a common goal.

Setting a SMART objective is essential but I do believe it is not sufficient. The objective we set should challenge our capacities/capabilities /skills for increasing the Likelihood of accomplishing them with excellence and prevent boredom, antidote for excellence. I, hence, modified the criteria which I call it ' I-SMART'. 'I' for Inspiring. As per behavioral psychology and neuroscience studies, we human get inspired when the challenge is optimally higher than our skills/capabilities. So when we set our objectives we have to make sure it is challenging enough. The SMART criteria in use does not take into account the challenge-skill matrix and my modified version, I-SMART does and I dare to popularize it with confidence. #I_SMART ?????? ??

For me it is all about having a clear plan of action that is transplantable from a task, project or business. I approach it in the same way, based on some great advice from Jim Collins in good to great. 1. You need the goal, a BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal). What are you trying to achieve? 10x the business, create a product, 0 defects, etc. 2. Then you need the right people. (Mindset, attitude) 3. Then you need to put these people in the right role. (Build an Effective team) 4. Surround the with the right discipline. Aligned Objectives, Processes and Systems. 5. Put in place the right rewards and recognition. 6. Ensure there is effective Quality management in place to ensure high quality of course, efficiency and continuous improvement.
