Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality. When developing new leaders, keep them attuned to the vision. Encourage them to consider how each task or process contributes to making the vision a reality. Pose 'what if' scenarios to them, asking what they would do if a task or process changes or unfolds differently than expected. The best way to gain experience is with someone who has it, such as a leader, who can transfer their experience by having them accompany you in delegated processes. This process should be repeated, gradually increasing the role of the person being empowered while the leader steps aside. This ensures the necessary transfer of knowledge and experience for proper empowerment.
