La procrastinación es un gran obstáculo en ventas. Para superarla, establece metas SMART: específicas, medibles, alcanzables, relevantes y con plazos limitados. Específicas: Define claramente lo que quieres lograr. Medibles: Usa métricas concretas. Alcanzables: Asegúrate de que sean realistas. Relevantes: Que estén alineadas con los objetivos de tu empresa. Con plazos limitados: Establece un marco de tiempo claro. Divide metas grandes en tareas peque?as para evitar sentirte abrumado. Celebrar peque?as victorias mantiene la motivación alta. Setting short-term & long-term goals are curial to ones sales success. First start out with creating a list of short-term goals and setting a target date to achieve the goals. The second step is to create a list of long-term goals with an expected target date and an action plan on how to achieve the goals. When setting goals you want the keep the goals realistic & attainable to achieve small wins. It's also important to keep periodic track of your progress in achieving the goals. Setting goals will aid with overcoming procrastination and staying on track with meeting deadlines.

La actividad Coaching de Ventas; implica conocimiento ,experiencia, método, y disciplina. Para definir la Metas y Objetivos del Negocio puedes emplear alguna de la metodologías desde muy completas hasta sencillas, dependerá de tu conocimiento y experiencia para proponer la que consideres la mas apropiada para la definición de la Metas Objetivos etc.. En lo personal me gustan las del IIBA, SMART, incluyendo el Dr. Zachman Framework. Si tienes la experiencia de estas metodologías, podrás tomar parte que se ajusten a los requerimientos del proyecto. Time blocking is like setting boundaries for your time and energy - it allows you to take control of your day instead of letting it control you. It's a great way to ensure that you prioritize what truly matters and maximize your productivity.

Microsoft outlook has become my best friend. My calendar is color coded with time blocking for specific task. For example I block of 4 hours a day which is color coded in green for sales prospecting. Time blocking has really helped me with staying focused & on track. Time blocking also helps in the area of procrastination as I receive notifications that remind me of my upcoming task. Time blocking also helps with prioritizing my day to ensure that I complete all of my daily task & activities.

Not only do you need to block off time for certain activities, but you also need to be consistent with blocking off time. The most successful strategy is to be consistent with the types of activities at the same times throughout the week. For example, block an hour each morning for coaching sessions when you’re most alert, and block an hour each afternoon to review calls, which requires focus but not interaction. Consistently blocking off the same activities at the same times each day helps establish a routine, making it easier to manage your tasks and meet deadlines.

Las distracciones son un gran contribuyente a la procrastinación. Identifica lo que interrumpe tu flujo de trabajo, como correos electrónicos, llamadas o redes sociales, y toma medidas para minimizar estas interrupciones. Establece horarios específicos para revisar correos y usa herramientas para bloquear sitios web que distraigan durante el trabajo. The best defense in eliminating distractions is to utilize a scheduling software to time block task & activities. I personally use a combination of Microsoft outlook & teams to stay focused on my daily task & activities. For example I block off two hours for cold calling session where I close my inbox and all web pages to focus on making the calls. Setting time blocks & sticking to them helps with eliminating distractions ensuring the completion of the task at hand. I also set a two hour time block to return emails ensuring a timely response back within the same day of receiving the message.

This is something I really had to learn while completing a part-time MBA and working full-time. Reading “Happier Hour” by Cassie Holmes was incredibly helpful. I started putting my phone on do not disturb during the workday, only allowing emails, slacks, and calls to come through as notifications. This helped eliminate almost all distractions. Sometimes, I even turn off Slack notifications to focus on specific tasks. Notify your team when you’re going to turn off certain streams of communication to focus on a task you need to get done. This helps maintain productivity while keeping everyone informed.

La delegación es clave en el coaching de ventas. Identifica tareas que pueden ser transferidas a otros para liberar tu tiempo y enfocarte en tareas de alta prioridad. Delegar efectivamente no solo ayuda a gestionar tu carga de trabajo, sino que también empodera a tu equipo, ofreciéndoles oportunidades para crecer y desarrollar nuevas habilidades. Confía en las habilidades de tu equipo y proporciona instrucciones claras para asegurar que las tareas delegadas se completen eficientemente y a tiempo. Esto optimiza tu productividad y la de tu equipo.

Hay que tener muy clara nuestra actividad como coaching de ventas, el alcance, lo que esta fuera del alcance, tiempos para realizar estas actividades y los entregables comprometidos. Ralph Kimball, en su metodología de DW/BI Lifecycle Methodology, incluye una excelente definición de actores, espectadores, fans ...etc; determinando su participación en la delegación de actividades.

You have to reflect on: are the things that I’m procrastinating on hard, time-consuming, or tasks I don’t enjoy doing? Then, figure out when in your day you’re most efficient at tackling each category of reason for procrastination. Some tasks you just need to get done—have a colleague or team member hold you accountable and set your own deadlines. Some tasks might be better to delegate. Regular reflection helps identify these patterns and allows you to adjust your approach, ensuring you’re making the best use of your time and overcoming procrastination effectively.
