One thing I have found helpful when choosing metrics is to work with your “work Breakdown Schedule” it helps you see clearly how to set up milestones that can be used to measure a metric. An example is tracking timelines to achieve specific stages of a project. Using WBS, one can achieve this and also know which metrics fit each timelines.

1. Need to evaluate project duration first based on site conditions, and as per senior management’s requirements. 2. Study of drawings well in advance by identifying design discrepancies and its rectification if any by proper follow ups and quantifications work well in advance to ease procurement as well as budget packages. 3. Proper training to juniors and all other junior stakeholders in order to do right things at first instance for fostering smooth execution.
