Internships are a great way to build a professional network. By working with professionals in your field, you can make valuable connections that can help you in your career. For example, you can attend networking events, ask for informational interviews, and connect with colleagues on LinkedIn.

Engaging early in your internship by introducing yourself and participating in events not only aids in building a professional network but also sets a proactive tone for your tenure. This approach is crucial because it demonstrates your enthusiasm and commitment, qualities highly valued in any professional setting. Moreover, these initial interactions can provide invaluable insights into the company culture and open doors to mentorship opportunities, further enhancing your career.

During my internships, I build a strong professional network by connecting with colleagues and mentors. I approach them with an open attitude, ask insightful questions, and show a genuine interest in their work. I attend company events, participate in group projects, and volunteer for assignments beyond my role to meet more people. By cultivating relationships and showing initiative, I've created a network that opens doors to future opportunities.

Reaching out to fellow mentees will not only create a positive image ,it wil make you appear as someone who is proactive and willing to learn from others.

In my experience what I do is asking work-related questions and listening to each of the people I am going to interact with, for me is important to know what each colleague does and how they see the current work environment and what role each person plays, using appropriate body language to convey interest and create rapport is also important.

One of the easiest way to lose track of the trends is to stip listening while we are trying to push our message through the ecosistema we are targeting.

Networking should not be directed towards leveraging others' service /knowledge it should also be about how we can add value to other party. If we are confident of our skills and convince them that we can provide services which will help them in their business profession that will be a win win situation.

When I have work experience in the new work environment, I will share some past experiences that helped solve or avoid similar problems or issues.

Demonstrate your skills and willingness to help. By exceeding expectations in your assigned tasks, you can showcase your abilities and make a positive impression on your colleagues.

Seeking mentorship from industry experts who do not shy away from sharing their knowledge with an aspirant is the way to go. This will give you great results if the mentor can also evaluate your strengths / weaknesses and show you the correct path.

Looking for mentors is very important as long as some time has passed since you have met and shared work activities with colleagues, at that time we will be able to know who may be potential mentors who are willing to share their knowledge.

Identify individuals within the organization whose work, values, or career path align with your goals. Approach them for guidance and mentorship. A mentor can provide valuable advice and support as you navigate your internship and career.

One must maintain the contact with his or her fellow mentees ,even after the internship gets over, so that you can get to know greater insights about how to put the learnings of internship into practice and what opportunities are on offer. You can also get to know how your fellow mentees converted their leads into business . This knowledge will help you build career properly.

Greeting on birthdays or celebrating victories that colleagues have achieved is important to show appreciation and interest in having shared with them.

Gratitude is extremely important. The irony of today's world is that the beneficiaries often forget the largess of the benefactor and move on. But while you are moving up the career ladder one must always remember each and every contribution that someone has made and never ever forget acknowledging the same. If you are grateful to the contributions made by someone, he/she will definitely recommend you to their contacts which will win the battle for you.

If you have had a new promotion in another job, thank specific people for having taught skills that were useful for that new role. Be grateful is to be humble.

In agreement with this but more of it is a strong network is built on Consistency Resiliency Determination Accountability Transparency Trustworthiness Honestly Dutifulness Eagerness Mutual understanding All these are pillars when it comes to follow up .

Networking is diverse, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Some methods I use include building connections through mutual acquaintances or common colleges. Focusing on teamwork over individual credit and being willing to take responsibility for team mistakes is important. Nothing says networking better than being a team player. Also, it is beneficial to socialize with colleagues outside of work. So, it is a good idea not to turn down those opportunities when they come up. Lastly, as a junior, it is easy to get caught up and appear overly eager, which can be noticeable to others. It is essential to trust that things will fall into place over time. You do not have to be involved in every conversation to make a meaningful impact.
