Understand that conflicts are the manifestation of yin-yang dynamics, which are in constant alternation: #1. Invite the team members to bring conflicts to the table, both the overt/covert aspects. #2. Remind your staff that the diverse conflicts embrace each other, just like the Taiji picture indicates the yin-yang dynamics. #3. Help your people be aware that the mood of conflicts will change depending on the context, personal emotions, etc., so why stick to the differences? #4. Bring your team to rationality to examine the pros/cons for the team/org./company as a whole. #5. Empower your team to make the call.

Conflict management is an important aspect of our life. There are techniques, approaches and behaviours to learn and adopt. The baseline of all, though, is to keep in mind and convey to all parties that the conflict is about a specific point and that a solution is always possible to reach. Embracing positivity allows for an overall calmer sentiment, and a feeling of trust. Positivity is _not_ about promising everyone will be happy at the end of the process. It's about establishing and sharing the certainty that 1. the disagreement uniquely refers to the item, not to people, 2. a solution will be found, 3. the solution will come at the end of a process to which _all parties_ will contribute, with a final and definitive agreement.
