Companies have this stick up their butt about scapegoating their CISOs and if you're going to take the job with the Chief in your title, you have to step up and help change that culture. Business simply can't afford the cost of security. 4. Sabotages. 5. Critical supplier, such as Microsoft, fail. Do think about what could be better if the same happens again. It's normal for CROs (Chief Risk Officers) to resign if risks deems unacceptable and non-remediable, then use resign as a tool of final warning. CISO should do the same.
