Here's how you can analyze and develop film scripts using logical reasoning strategies.

For me, when I begin to write a script I understand the story I want to tell. I know the beginning and the end. I have an understanding of the hero and what they want. And I understand the world and the characters that surround my hero. I also know what they're up against. Sometimes I'll go a step further and make a story outline. Plotting the general journey of the hero. A loose where and when. I'm not going to judge my idea. Every story idea you may have has promise. If you over think it. If you wonder if it's flawed or illogical you'll never put pen to paper. That's why there's rewriting.

Don't over think. Let the characters, the story start to talk to you. Each character has a job to do within the story. It's your job as the writer to make sure everything lives within the logic of a story. Anyone will do any anything if the circumstances, the moment permits it. If the building is burning, the mother runs in to save her baby. She might not be that brave normally, in that moment she is. The logic of the overall script/story will dictate what your characters do, when.

Your story needs to unfold logically. It will make the reader turn the page - that's what you want. Understand where your story need to go. Remember, you can set something up in the beginning and pay it off later. Meaning, you can introduce an idea that can reveal its self later on in your story. There does need to be a logical flow. That's important. Again, that's what makes the reader turn the page. In the end, your story has to track. As your writing don't be rigid. Allow ideas to flow. Allow yourself to explore.

Conflict drives your story, plain and simple. In the end your hero needs to find what they're looking for; be it love, revenge, peace, or all three. With the understanding that conflict drives your story forward, nothing can come easy. The journey is hard, there are ups and down (reference 3 act structure). Knowing this, the "resolution" at the end of your script. will be satisfying. Not only for the hero, but for the audience as well.

Dialogue gives the audience information. It not only reveals story, it builds relationships. Your dialogue should be crisp. Listen to the way people talk. Really, sit in a coffee shop and listen to people; how they tell their stories, how they interact with one another, how they give information to the person they're talking to. A woman talks to a child differently than she talked to her partner, than to her co-worker. Take into consideration that sometimes actions speak louder than words. If we see a person assembling a gun and we know they're getting ready for a "hit", do they have to talking about killing? What if they talked about pizza? That tells us something. Explore dialogue. It doesn't always have to be "on the nose".
