Engagement, education and communication. To align managers with a strategic plan you need to do these three things. Engage them in the strategic planning and strategy implementation process. Educate them about what’s important and how their work and their team contribute to the strategic mission. Have open dialogue and provide ongoing communication channels to allow managers to check in and feedback how their work is aligning to the strategy.
