In my experience, various types of deep breathing exercises can restore a sense of calm. There are various techniques for this, and many claim to be the best or only way to achieve results, but pursuing that claim can increase your stress, not increase it. All methods involve mindful breathing, slowing it and becoming more aware of it. The easiest is box breathing: slowly breathe in for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 4 seconds, slowly breathe out for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 4 seconds, then repeat, 4 more times.

Feeling overwhelmed by work? Totally normal,especially when everything seems to hit at once! As a mental performance coach, I’d suggest starting by prioritizing. Choose the top two or three tasks that really need attention and focus on those first. Then, break big tasks into smaller parts . It feels so much easier to handle when you see progress with each little task completed. Also, set boundaries where you can. It’s okay to say "no" or delegate when possible—your well-being matters. Don’t forget to take short breaks; even a few minutes to breathe or stretch to refresh your mind. And remember, it’s perfectly fine to ask for support.
