I currently work in student success and career services in higher education. My students primarily study software development, data analytics, data science, and cybersecurity to upskill and reskill for tech jobs. I conduct workshops regularly, and because I deeply respect my students, I plan and prepare my own talking points to accompany the slides ahead of time, scheduling this preparation as work blocks. I also set aside 30 minutes before and after each 2-hour workshop to address any questions students might have privately, ensuring they feel comfortable seeking help.
