Like I told a leader once, "Listen to your frontline or lose your bottom line." In short, your frontline knows what your strategy shows. If they are misaligned, then it's one of three things: 1) Failure to include frontline perspectives in strategy development (why would you ever do this?) 2) Asking for input from the frontline, but not using it in your strategy. This could be leadership EGO or leadership INSIGHT. 3) Things have changed. Conflicting feedback may signal environmental shifts, not strategic conflicts. Solutions #1) Don't do this (ever). #2) Limit leadership ego and communicate insights that explain decisions. #3) Stay rooted in purpose, values, and true north. But remain open to evolving tactics and processes.

During the strategy implementation phase, you should have a weekly steering committee meeting. If you are using the 4Dx Execution Framework, the meeting agenda is: Account: report on commitments, Review the scoreboard: Learn from successes and failures, Plan: Clear the path and make new commitments. At this meeting you can also evaluate any feedback you have received from your employees or the external environment and decide whether you need to make minor or major changes to your strategy.
